Disney’s first trailer for John Carter revealed very little about the story, and the following trailer for the movie only added a few more details. Both of them featured our titular civil war hero mysteriously transported to the planet Mars. How John Carter got there is unknown. But the latest international trailer for Andrew Stanton’s movie seems to explain how John Carter got to the red planet.
The clips that follow John Carter’s transportation are also worth a look, although it does feature a lot of the same footage we’ve already seen from the upcoming movie. John Carter marks the first time that Andrew Stanton has directed a live-action film.
John Carter stars Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Samantha Morton, Mark Strong, Ciaran Hinds, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Daryl Sabara, Polly Walker, Bryan Cranston, Thomas Hayden Church, and Willem Dafoe. Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, Wall-E) directs the film which opens on March 9th.
